Charity Shopping

Bought this dress for £4 around a week ago as well as a pair of blue shoes that I have yet to document.

Dress Sue Ryder Charity Shop
Shoes Belle & Mimi via Dorothy Perkins
Bag Fiorelli via Debenhams

It's actually four sizes too big for me but I fell in love with the print ages ago when I saw in store; it's from New Look originally. Even though it's too big I think it works with the waist tie, just looks like it's meant to be a loose fit. Am I right or completely deluded?

This dress is lovely and i Love the pjs you made. I was thinking of trying that Pete pattern, but i have never sewed knits before so not sure if it will be too difficult. Have a great week.

Thank you both for your comments. Alexandra, you should definitely try the pete pattern. I was really nervous about sewing knits for the first time too but it turned out to be really easy and you don't need to worry so much about the fitting. Just make sure you use a serger or the zigzag stitch on your machine and go slowly. It might just be my machine but it skips stitches if I try to sew knits too fast.
