Sock Theory

So I said that my tights obsession extends to socks. Let me explain. Firstly I am totally loving the socks with shorts, skirts and dresses trend of the moment especially if the socks are lacy or ruffled. Before the start of my pledge I had been searching the high street for a cute pair of white ruffled socks like the ones I used to wear when I was five (see a pair worn here by Megan Nielsen which are for sale in her store). Sadly the British high street seems to believe that only five year olds should wear them and I could only find them in very small child sizes. I started think that I would a) have to make a pair or b) start searching potentially dodgy costume shops. I also happen to love the socks that the model is wearing in Megan's collection, but yet again the English high street seems to think that only children should be allowed to enjoy these. Then Carly at Chic Steals posted about a new website called Sock Theory. I love the stuff on this site, AND they do tights! Let me show you a few of my favourites.

Why oh why is this store based in America? Yes they deliver to the UK but shipping is expensive, you can get charged import tax and it will take ages :(

If anyone knows where I can get similar products in the UK please let me know.

The good news is that Sock Theory was offering readers of Chic Steals a 10% discount on orders over $25. It may not still be valid but it is worth a try. Check out the post here.

Oh, I was going to tell you about www.sockdreams.com until I read that you are in the UK and looking for a UK store. Regardless, it's good sock havings. Good luck on your search!

Thanks for the thought anyway. It's definitely good for browsing if nothing else. I may have sorted some of my dilema with asos.com which stocks a range of designers and their own range including some frilly socks!
